CUTS AND PLEATS
Wallpaper collection
My idea was to take simple, graphic elements, which are developed by laser cutting. By twisting and varying distances the elements obtain a certain relation to each other. Additionally the two dimensionality of the wallpaper gets extended into a third dimension by creases and turned down edges. The wallpaper is entirely armed with a grid. You can individually decide which nooks you want to open. By cuttings and foldings the plaster of the wall gets visible and a “play between old and new” is introduced. A translucent, possibly coloured style wall or a coloured backside (of the wallpaper) will offer further opportunities to bring out the main point.
